Our Musical director -Philip Divine
Philip spent his formative musical years playing trombone with Midlands based bands before joining the National Youth Brass Band and then becoming Principal Trombone of the National Youth Wind Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
Further studies took him to Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and the RCM followed by a varied  freelance career throughout the UK and Europe.

As an educator Philip has taught at all levels with many former students entering conservatoires and becoming professional musicians. He was Head of Brass at Milton Keynes Music Service for a number of years and has tutored on various County Youth Orchestra Courses in the UK.

As a conductor Philip has maintained a very successful tenure with the highly acclaimed Milton Keynes Youth Orchestra, often performing at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall and having given many well received concerts in the local area and on overseas tours.

Most recently, he has been proud to serve as the conductor of Olney Brass and as the band continues to go from strength to strength he hopes to continue to build upon the fine reputation of this fine band.

Past conductors of the band who have each made
